Congratulations to Anika Damm, who has been awarded a David Miller Travel Bursary.
Anika is one of two recipients this year of this rather competitive national award. The
award gives young plant scientists or horticulturists the opportunity to travel overseas
in connection with their careers.
Anika is studying for her PhD in Sebastian Eves-van den Akker’s group at the Crop
Science Centre. She will use the award to present her research at the ‘Parasitic
Helminths: New Perspectives in Biology and Infection’ conference in Hydra, Greece.
Her travel is also supported by a British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) travel
award.
