Agnieszka (Aga) Alexander
Aga joined Crop Science Centre to work on driving impact and outcomes in product development from the research outputs from ENSA project.
Prior to joining the CSC, Aga worked as a scientific project manager at NIAB, where she coordinated a doctoral training programme in Sustainable Agricultural Innovation (CTP-SAI) and a partnership programme ‘Growing Kent and Medway’.
Aga received a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where she worked on engineering novel means of resistance to powdery mildew in barley. After completing her PhD, she joined the Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich and worked on developing potato varieties with elevated resistance to potato late blight and bacterial wilt.
