Biography

My name is Chun Liu, and I am honored to join Giles Oldroyd's group at the Crop Science Centre as a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Postdoctoral Research Fellow. My research will focus on starch metabolism in symbiosis within model legume Medicago truncatula nodules. Originally from China, I completed my PhD at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, where I studied starch metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana under the supervision of Professor Samuel Zeeman. I am enthusiastic about applying my previous research experience to the study of symbiosis at CSC and exploring its implications in this new context. I am delighted to be here and look forward to experiencing both Cambridge and the United Kingdom.
