Biography

For my MPhil project, I am characterising the three nucleoporins NUP85, NUP133 and NENA, which have previously only been characterised in legumes, in rice arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis.

Prior to my MPhil, I obtained a BA in Natural Sciences here at Cambridge, specialising in plant sciences. My work is a continuation of the Part II project I completed last year in the Cereal Symbiosis group with Gabriel Ferreras Garrucho. Additionally, I worked as a summer student in the same group with Dr. Tania Chancellor, using spatial transcriptomics to study rice arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis at single-cell resolution.
